Dawn began her formal culinary education in Europe during five
years of study in France, Switzerland, Italy, and Belgium. Dawn
was married in Venice, Italy. After her return to the U.S. she
continued as a partner in several European style restaurants. Eight
years ago she co-authored the cookbook: "Romance Begins in
the Kitchen, Romantic Italian Recipes and Their Complementary
Wines" which is in it's 3rd printing.
Dawn offers a wide range of classes set up by appointment.
Demo-style, hands-on or interactive classes for groups small and
large. She specializes in corporate team building events, corporate
or private dinners, or holiday parties.
Every May and September, Dawn hosts week long trips to Italy
offering a gastronomic and cultural experience of a lifetime. Dates
for 2013 are May 11-19 and September 7-14, and September
14-22. Travel arrangements are booked through Cooking with
Dawn Tours LLC. Prices start at $2,250 plus airfare for these

Dawn is a Personal Chef, Cooking Instructor, Food Writer,
Cookbook Author. She is a member of Slow Food USA promoting
the pleasures of locally grown foods. In 2010, the State of
Michigan awarded her the "2010 Hometown Health Hero Award"
for her work promoting fresh, seasonal and healthy goods.
Rates for Cooking Parties start at $100 per person per class
depending on the menu and number in the class.
